Ingredients: (all organic) Mullein Leaf, Elecampane Root, Elderberries, Seedless Rosehips, Marshmallow Root, Ginger
Little lungs was created with young children in mind. I have been making an elecampane cough syrup for friends and for myself for years now privately but I wanted to be able to give something to you that has the potency of the elecampane but is more enjoyable for young children to drink. The elderberry needs to be decocted as instructed on each bag of Little Lungs that you purchase so be sure to make it in a pot on the stove to fully break down the plant matter and to increase the medicinal potency of this blend.
Mullein leaf, elecampane and elderberries are for the congested cough, a pinch of ginger so it’s not too spicy but still has liver detoxing benefits, seedless rosehips for added bioavailable vitamin C and marshmallow root to help coat sore throats.
If you’d like to decoct this blend even longer to make somewhat of a syrup, you could potentially boil this for 45 minutes or until half the water is gone, let completely cool and then add equal parts of raw honey to make into your own homemade syrup. Make sure to store in your fridge in a closed mason jar. You could give a half a teaspoon at a time as needed for coughs or sore throats (none of this is medical advice. I cannot give you dosage. Talk with your pediatrician or midwife if you want proper dosing.) Whatever you do, be sure to add raw honey to taste so that your little ones will receive added throat soothing benefits and to make the tea taste better as well!

How do I make my tea?

How much tea is in each bag?
Each bag has a different weight, as the density of the herbs are subject to change.
We have put approximately one month's worth of tea in each bag.
You can make your tea last longer by reusing the herbs for a second infusion.
Each bag contains instructions on how to make that specific blend.

Due to the perishable nature of the items, all sales are final.
How long until I get my tea?
Teas will take 7-14business daysfor the tea to ship to you. This means that if there is alargerestock, it may take close to three weeks to receive your tea. However, that's the longest it should ever take to receive your tea, unless their is a post office issue.
Are the teas gluten free/pregnancy safe?
Our teas are handcrafted with natural organic ingredients, but they are not certified gluten-free or specifically tested for pregnancy safety. As a small business, we do not have the capacity to offer such certifications.
